It was a night of celebration at "An Evening with the Athletes" awards show presented by The Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table (SBART). Six Westmont athletes were awarded the Athlete of the Year Award for their respective sports and John Moore was honored as the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table College Coach of the Year. The event was held at Santa Barbara's historic Lobero Theater. The recipients of the college division awards are selected by the media from the student-athletes and coaches of the local institutions of higher education - UC Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Community College and Westmont. Westmont's Tiffany Dimaculangan of Glendora was named the SBART College Women's Soccer Player of the Year. A two-time NAIA All-American, the senior midfielder recorded six goals and four assists during the fall 2014 campaign. Dimaculangan led her team to both the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Regular Season and Tournament Championships this season and was named to the All-GSAC team. The Warriors advanced to the NAIA National Championship in all four of her years on the team, finishing as national runner-up in 2013. NAIA All-American Kelly Collins of Pleasant Hill was named the SBART College Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year. The sophomore finished 21st in the NAIA National Championship race in Lawrence, Kansas, leading her team to an eighth place finish. Collins also earned All-GSAC honors as the runner-up at the conference championship meet. Collins was competing in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama and was unable to attend the ceremonies.
